It's our call. To be sure, the streetcar conversation is by far one of the toughest topics that has come up in the urban revitalization arena here in Columbus to date. There is no simple and definite answer to whether or not streetcars will be good or bad for Columbus, of that we can be absolutely certain. While I don't personally see the question of whether they could be good or bad as even a close race (good always triumphs, doesn't it?), I need to work towards the answer I arrived at by starting my explanation from a neutral and relatively objective position. To fully appreciate the benefits of such a proposed system, we also have to clearly identify, state and explore the potential threats. Only with such a transparent and definitive process can any of us be informed enough to establish a somewhat educated opinion. The bad news is, I can't do this alone no matter how passionate I may be. There's just not enough time in the day. But you can help...
