Lots to talk about for the past week and the week coming up. As I've mentioned in previous weeks, I'm moving more towards a proactive stance and, for at least another month, you'll be seeing a little less in-depth writing (which has already been very light over the past couple months) and more stream of consciousness updates on what's happening in the world of urban affairs in Columbus. I've personally been keeping busy burning the midnight oil on some websites, including the new RetroMetro and the AIA Columbus "Columbus Re-Wired" Multi-Modal Transit Station Design Competition website which should be up in a week or so. I'm also just getting things rolling with a new 1000 Friends of Central Ohio website...because I have so much down time :) Also, keep an eye peeled for a new Downtown Residents' Association of Columbus website too. In one manner or another, all the sites I've mentioned will all have connections and some resource sharing with RetroMetro as I continue to build the RetroMetro Organized Neighborhood Engagement (ONE) INFOstructure network. If you haven't figured it out...my web abilities are what I use to contribute to our downtown revitalization efforts. Have you figured out what your abilities are that you can contribute and where you can plug in? Can you write? Take pictures? Build or design websites? I know someone who has some projects you might be able to get involved in... But enough about me, what's going down in the city?
