There is still, and will continue to be, a severe shortage in the understanding of the importance and significance of a streetcar system for downtown Columbus as is slightly illustrated in random comments that you may hear on the streets or see in the press. The lack of civic engagement and education on the topic is the biggest threat at this point in the streetcar project investigation as the city contemplates on whether or not to progress with the plan.
