I'm still one week off from my streetcar observation which I promised a couple weeks back but in the mean time, I wanted to share with you an informal e-mail message I sent to a national organization that works on urban related issues on a very large scale. The organization's name isn't important at this point, but as I went through the exercise of taking the long-winded path to asking my question to this group, it occured to me that RetroMetro readers might find this an interesting read:
Greetings friends,
My name is Paul Bonneville. I am a 33 year urban enthusiast, entrepreneur, educator, communicator, veteran and innovator who is a leading champion of urban revitalization and related civic causes in Columbus Ohio as expressed through my 2 1/2 year old website, columbusretrometro.com.
All of the reading and research that I am consuming on urban issues both across the country and locally, and much of the material I see coming out of your organizations (X and Y), is directly inline with my own findings, passions and ambitions when it comes to what I feel both my city and I need to be working on to ensure our success in the national arena when it comes to the competition for economic growth and attracting the young and the restless in the coming decades.
